Introducing 2017 Summer Camps at AltSchool

We’re thrilled to partner with Green Art Workshop and FutureLeague, two local Bay Area organizations that are part of our expert network, to offer summer programming designed exclusively for AltSchool. Through our fun summer camps, children will stretch their minds and imaginations and build 21st-century skills like critical thinking. They will foster a growth mindset as they collaborate on projects tied to real-world learnings. Camps are designed for children ages five to ten and will take place in Palo Alto and San Francisco.
Summer Camps at AltSchool run from June 26 to August 4. Each program is two weeks long and will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

AltExplore, our Extended Day program, will be offered from 3:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. (additional $25/day). AltSchool’s Student Experiences and AltExplore educator team will run our Extended Day program, and they will also lead an hour of outdoor play and exploration each day.

Session 1: June 26 - July 7 (closed July 3 and 4)
Session 2: July 10 - July 21
Session 3: July 24 - August 4

To register, please select your location below. You’ll find additional information, including program descriptions and pricing, on the registration pages.

More About Summer Camps at AltSchool

About Our Camps

We’re excited to offer art- and maker-themed summer programming at AltSchool this year for lower school students in the Bay Area, staffed by some of our favorite expert network program partners: Green Art Workshop and FutureLeague. Green Art Workshop will offer hands-on eco-conscious programs for students ages five to seven, where attendees will create imaginative, personal, collaborative projects. FutureLeague programs for students ages eight to ten will inspire them through a progressive engineering, coding, and design-thinking curriculum.

Who Can Attend?

Currently enrolled AltSchool students, incoming AltSchool students, and students enrolled at other schools are welcome to attend! Students must be between ages five and ten (by the start of summer programming) to register. The camps will be split into sessions for Lower Elementary students (ages five to seven) and Upper Elementary students (ages eight to ten). There is no limit to the number of summer sessions you can register for. However, since our Summer Camps fill quickly, we encourage you to register early to secure a spot.

English fluency is required for all students registered in a Summer at AltSchool Camp.
